For homemade "caramel" truffles you will need a strong blender / mixer.
My first time making date caramel truffles was a bit tough, as my low-grade bullet blender barely had enough power to mash up the dates.
Be sure to pit the dates as well as have them at room temperature.
HOW TO MAKE "CARAMEL" DATE TRUFFLES
1) Blend room temp Dates with Sea Salt (to taste)
2) Add Maple Syrup, Agave, or Honey for an extra sweetener or flavor enhancer
3) Ball up your semi-sticky date mixture [rub some coconut oil onto pan]
4) Place ballz into fridge
5) Melt your preferred Chocolate / Cacao
6) Drizzle or dip Ballz into Chocolate
7) Sprinkle with Sea Salt
8) Freeze for 15 minutes (and DON'T FREAK OUT)
Adding Peanut Butter, Syrups, Cinnamon, etc is a crazy yummy and not-too-unhealthy way to spruce these ballz up a truffle notch!
